They stay on your iPhone. There's no server anything could be sent to. Transcription and summaries run locally. If you enable iCloud sync, your data is encrypted and syncs through your iCloud account.
By default, audio recordings are kept on your device — or in iCloud, if you've enabled sync. You can set them to auto-delete after a certain period, or delete them manually at any time, without losing your transcripts. You can still generate summaries even after the audio is gone, as long as it was transcribed first.
Yes, completely. Everything runs on-device. The only exception: iCloud sync, if enabled.
Each project can have a primary and a secondary language. The app detects which language you're speaking and switches automatically, so you can mix languages within a single recording. All languages supported by Apple's SpeechAnalyzer are available. Currently that's Arabic, Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin), Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Malay, Norwegian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, and Vietnamese — each with multiple regional variants.
On-device processing requires the Neural Engine in the A17 Pro chip or later. Older iPhones don't have the hardware to handle it.
Everything you already have stays and keeps working. You can still record into existing projects and get summaries. You'll just need Pro to create new projects beyond 5 or add notes beyond 20 per project.
Yes. Individual notes or entire projects can be exported as PDF, Markdown, HTML, or plain text at any time. Audio files can be exported too, as long as they haven't been deleted.
